BWF Timber Window Accreditation Scheme

As members of the British Woodworking Federation Timber Window Accreditation Scheme, our design and production methods have been found to produce windows that meet the highest standards of performance. By exceeding all of the criteria that this scheme demands, we can be confident that we are supplying our customers with the highest quality, long life, low maintenance windows and door sets.

BSI Kitemark

Certification to the TWAS enables us to display the BSI British Standard Kitemark on our products. The Kitemark indicates that all products are produced in accordance with the requirements of the TWAS and that they have been tested to the highest standards. This ensures our products are safe to use and will fit the purpose to which they have been designed. It offers peace of mind to our customers by reducing the possibility of product failure.

Riba Product Selector

George Barnsdale & Sons are part of the RIBA Product Selector which is a high quality specification directory used by architects.

British Fenestration Rating Council

George Barnsdale can produce BRFC approved thermal simulations in house. This means thermal performance is designed into all windows. High thermal performance of timber windows has a great effect on long term energy costs. We were the first in Britain to achieve an 'A rated' window and have continued to design windows with the best performance without the need to use expensive and unattractive triple glazed units.

See news article 'Energy Efficiency' for the latest news on our research and development in thermal efficiency.
