Design & Testing
Using our research and the industry available information we have developed a range of high performance windows and doors that have been thoroughly tested.
Our manufacturing systems are assessed by BSI to ISO 9000 and many of our products carry the widely acclaimed BS Kitemark.
Weathertightness BS 6375 Part 1
Extensive testing has allowed us to modify our designs to achieve very high performance.
Operational and Strength BS 6375 Part 2
All of our Kitemarked windows fully comply with these requirements.
Security BS 7950
Although the standard does not apply to all design types of windows, some of our standard windows are manufactured with enhanced security as standard and others can be.
Glazing
BRE East Kilbride are carrying out long term tests on our designs.
End-grain Sealing
BRE Watford has carried out tests on our joint designs and we have done considerable work on testing end grain sealing. This considerably improves the long term performance of our windows.
Thermal Performance
Our standard windows are glazed with high performance soft coat glass which exceed the requirements of Part l of the Building Regulations. We calculate thermal performance using Therm & Window software in accordance to BS EN ISO 10077-2 (see page Ref: B012-2 and B013-2). This has allowed us to develop our products with optimised thermal performance.
Acoustic Performance
We have had some of our range tested by Sound Research Laboratories (A NAMASS approved testing laboratory) in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-3:1995, BS2750:Part3:1995 & BS EN ISO 717-1:1997. We have the flexibility to manufacture our whole range to utilise glass with a very high acoustic performance.
The work we are doing testing our products will allow us to achieve CE marking before it is required.
